Howdy, I’m Mark Looney
My photographs are flat 2x3 spaces that I fill with other people’s lives and my own experiences. I fill images with love, woe, and connection and compose them in such a way to tell the story *I* see but in the most empathetically undirected way. That might be an oxymoron, but my hope is that the results serve understanding despite difference, community across disconnection, and belonging in place of longing.
My client work (fun families, the occasional wedding, and non-profits / businesses with heart) does the same: visual stories about life, love, and business.
When not making pictures of other people, you can probably find me photographing my family … or folding their laundry.
